The soup kitchen has been serving men, women and children a free, well-balanced, multi-course hot meal at lunchtime each weekday for more than 30 years. We are currently only serving lunches on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Anyone who joins the serving line is a guest and welcome to receive a nutritious lunch. We typically serve buttered bread/roll, a portion of meat/fish/poultry, fresh

roasted vegetables, a starch (potatoes, rice, pasta), a hearty homemade soup, a vibrant tossed salad with dressing, fruit, dessert (from a selection of baked items), and water/iced tea/coffee. And as our new name suggests, we often have pantry items, clothes and various sundries available on any given day.

Located at Christ Lutheran Church, 61 North Grove St., Freeport, New York 11520, we now serve lunches 'to go' on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12p-1p.
